The organisation was founded in 1943, then under the name Internationella Arbetslag (IAL) and soon became the Swedish branch of Service Civil International (SCI).\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a8ff250 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a8ff250\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWe are an association with a long history (1943) that <b>wants to work for a peaceful world<\/b>. We believe that when people from different countries and cultures work together for a non-profit cause, the conditions for a culture of peace are created. The non-profit projects can be about environmental issues or helping socially vulnerable groups, for example. IAL has no profit interest and the activities are based on non-profit work. The association is religiously and politically independent.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9a3dd55 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9a3dd55\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAnyone who wants to participate in an international volunteer camp is welcome to apply and register for volunteer camps in the <a href=\"https:\/\/workcamps.sci.ngo\/icamps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">workcamp database<\/a> administered by the international Service Civil International (SCI) of which we are the Swedish member association.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-83e45c2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"83e45c2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDo you have a project where it would be suitable to organise a volunteer camp through us next summer?
