Just over 30 people met in Stockholm in April 2023 and celebrated that SCI Sweden turns 80 this year \ud83c\udf89 The association had an extraordinary annual meeting and elected a new board with <strong>Kristina Hellqvist<\/strong> as chairperson \ud83d\udc4f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SCI Sweden has been running a somewhat languishing operation for a number of years and was threatened with closure due to lack of commitment. A large number of former active members hung up when Johanna Lundqvist said: \u201d<em>Closing a peace association in the middle of a war, never<\/em>\u201d and suddenly the ball had been set in motion and at the meeting there were several ideas about breathing life into SCI Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What was fantastic about the evening were all the great stories about what SCI (old IAL) has meant to us who participated. Both hilarious stories that made us laugh at the memories and important stories about how going to camp shaped you as a person.
