In December 2023, IAL attended the ICM in Vienna<\/a>, a meeting where all branches of SCI come together. They worked hard for a few days to develop a new strategic plan to take SCI into the future. And now it is ready! The plan is for 2024\u20132027 and it has adopted 4 main goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan aims to show the way for how to contribute to creating a more peaceful and just society through international volunteer projects. The vision is, among other things, to increase awareness of our existence, have an increased diversity of projects, encourage more networking and post-camp activities that follow up and can attract more people to participate. Furthermore, attention is encouraged to activities that address social justice and the climate issue, as these issues often touch upon our core values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also want to strengthen volunteers through peace education, which provides opportunities to act for a society where people live together in peace without resorting to violence. Unfortunately, these are highly topical and important topics. Read about our values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
