We are very happy to reveal that IAL has a new camp project in the summer of 2024. At Bäckedal's Folk High School, there will be an opportunity for 10 volunteers and two camp leaders to participate in a midsummer camp at a farm in the inland of Norrland. What a summer! The dates are 17–28 June 2024 and the camp is searchable in the database.

Bäckedal's Folkhögskola is a nature-based folk high school located outside Sveg in Härjedalen. The school offers a general course for basic qualifications, and profile courses in crafts, sustainability and ancient techniques. Wood, leather, metal and textile processes, from prehistoric times to the present day, run like a common thread through most of our courses. Together with broad sustainability, democratic values and man's historical relationship to nature, these are a central part of our activities.
Bäckedals Folk High School is funded by the Swedish state and is religiously and politically independent. The school's goals are global justice, human rights, gender equality and sustainable use of the earth's ecological resources.

During IAL's 2024 volunteer camp, participants will engage in tasks such as carpentry and woodworking, maintenance of historic buildings, gardening, vegetable growing, and animal care. It is therefore desirable that volunteers have a personal interest in sustainability, crafts, and cultural heritage.
