How do you apply for a workcamp?
Applying for a workcamp is easy and straightforward. Make sure to apply well in advance. We recommend applying 2–3 months in advance.

Search the workcamp database for available volunteer camps.

Register directly in the database. You can apply to more than one camp. Sometimes spots fill up quickly—so choosing more than one camp increases your chances of getting a spot.

Once you have applied for a camp, please send us an email at info@ial.se and let us know. If you have any questions, you can of course contact us.

Pay camp fee 1500 SEK + membership fee to IAL 150 SEK/year to bank account 5283-0643. We will forward the camp application when we see that the payment has been received.

Wait for a response. Messages are usually sent by email. Keep an eye on your spam folder so you don't miss an email from us. Please contact us with any questions, primarily by email, but we can also be reached via Facebook.

When you get a placement, confirm your participation to us and sometimes also to the host organisation. If you ultimately do not get a place at the camp you applied for, or another camp you are interested in, you can get your camp fee back.

You will receive an infosheet with information about the camp approximately one month before the camp starts. Please contact us if you have not received your infosheet in time.

Pack your bags and travel. If you choose not to fly to your camp, we will issue you a refund of 500 SEK upon presentation of your ticket.
