Who can participate in a workcamp?
We want workcamps to be open and inclusive for everyone who shares our purpose and goals, regardless of ethnicity, gender, faith, nationality, sexual orientation, socio-economic background or any other grounds for discrimination. SCI is a non-profit organization and can therefore keep participation fees low. This makes the workcamps accessible to people with fewer resources. In some countries, SCI has special programs for young people with fewer opportunities that facilitate their participation in short-term projects.
You can also participate in a workcamp as a camp coordinator, helping other volunteers to settle into the camp, leading study sessions or meetings, acting as an intermediary between the local partners and the volunteers, and helping to create a happy and collaborative atmosphere.
